| By introducing ballroom dance to elementary school students we can teach these young children the essential coping and social skills many are missing as they grow into adolescence. Possession of these skills is an important determiner of a successful future. This program teaches young children teamwork, sportsmanship, social awareness, confidence, self-esteem, goal-setting, the value of hard work, manners, etiquette, trust and mutual respect. We are raising our expectations of these children. We believe when we expect more, they will produce more. We are going to teach them to: BE more, DO more and HAVE more, so they can GIVE more! |

| “After six weeks of dancing I felt like I was a star. I was getting better and better. I still think ballroom dancing is fun to do. Our teachers, Miss Katie and Mr. Ramirez, never gave up on us.” CRYSTAL, 5TH GRADE STUDENT |
